Welcome to the Historic Sporting Trials Association
The Historic Sporting Trial Association was formed to provide competitive events for sporting trial cars built between 1952 and 1974. Trials specials and ‘garagista production cars’ such as Cannon’s and Alexis are prevalent in the Historic class, which is run for cars from the 1952 to 1970 era in period specification with engines such as the 1172 Ford side-valve and BMC A series.
There is much more variation in the Post-historic class which caters for cars built between 1971 and 1978 running on 15" wheels. Full details of regulations can be found in the having a go section.
Now in its 7th year, we usually have 7 trials each year from Hampshire – Northampton, Somerset – Kent. These friendly events have proved hugely popular with both new comers and experts. There is a strong emphasis on the social side of our events and you will find everyone happy to talk trials and share advice if you need it. So why not come along to one of our events and experience the ‘Revival in the mud’
