6 long slippery sections had been devised in the woods and as all the hills could be cleared the pressure was on not to make any mistakes. By the end of the first lap in the Historic class Stephen Barnes was two marks ahead of David Methley and Mitch Wood but in the Post Historic class there were 4 old rivals, Steve Courts, Mark Howse, Andy Gowan and Dave Oliver all on zero.
Despite a few alterations to some hills for lap 2 the leaderboard did not change other than Matt Johnston started to show his skills and claimed second place in the Historic class mainly due to a clean on Hill 1.
For the final lap nerves began to show in both classes with Stephen Barnes dropping 2 marks on Hill 1. Both Matt Johnstone and David Methley cleared the hill, but their challenge was too late to have any effect on the overall result. Andy Gowan lost a single mark on the tricky exit from Hill 5 which resulted in him finishing fourth in the Post Historic class.
In the end Stephen Barnes won the Historic class by four marks from an ever-improving Matt Johnston who was three marks ahead of Dave Methley.
The Post Historic class produced a three-way tie between Steve Courts, Mark Howse and Dave Oliver all of whom did not lose a mark all day. A remarkable result which left the organisers having to reorder the trophies to reflect the tie.
